EMERALD
Emeralds, known for their lush green hue, have been celebrated for millennia as symbols of rebirth and love. The name "emerald" derives from the Greek word smaragdos, meaning green gem.
Emeralds are primarily sourced from Colombia, Zambia, and Brazil.
Emerald, the stone of life, is the birthstone for May and a traditional gift for the 20th and 35th wedding anniversaries.
COLOUR
The most prized emeralds display a vivid, rich green with a slight bluish undertone. This vibrant hue makes them one of the most valuable gemstones.
CLARITY
Emeralds often contain inclusions, referred to as "jardin." These inclusions are considered part of their character and rarely diminish their value if the color is exceptional. Emeralds wihtout eye visible inclusions can reach immensely high prices. They are extremly rare.
CUT
Emeralds are often cut in their namesake shape—the emerald cut—designed to enhance their color and minimize stress on the stone.
CARAT WEIGHT
Large emeralds are rare and command high prices, especially those with exceptional color and minimal inclusions.

CARE AND CLEANING
Emeralds require gentle care. Clean them with warm, soapy water and avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaners. They should also be stored away from harder gemstones to prevent scratching.
