Do not expose your jewelry to light and heat

as excessive heat or unexpected change in temperature can affect gold jewelry and lightens its colour. High heat and sudden temperature changes
can also cause breaks in some precious stones or extend their existing fractures. Raw pearls can handle warm temperatures,
but the first extreme change can cause cracking and may even change their colour.

Do not expose jewelry to chemicals

in domestic, day-to-day activities such as house cleaning and gardening as they can cause physical flaws in precious stones. Gold in its purest form cannot
corrode, but it is too soft for jewelry and this is why it is often alloyed with other metals which can turn dark when corroded under
wet or moist conditions. Pearls as a result of an organic process are very fragile. As such, their luster and structure
can be easily affected not only by exposure to chemicals.

Everyday use of hair spray, lotions, perfumes and other cosmetics

can damage any jewelry piece with a precious or semi- precious stone or a pearl. Gold will not change its color, however,
over time it can lose its shine as the plating wears off. Ideally, jewelry should be worn immediately before you go out.

Refrain from wearing jewelry in salt water, swimming pools

or spas as chlorine can damage gold, precious, semi-precious stones as well as pearls. Components made of glue, most commonly parts of pearl jewelry,
can weaken and pearls can come loose. Saltwater will have negative effects on buckles and other connecting parts of gold jewelry. This may not
be noticeable at first, but over time, the effects of saltwater become so damaging that these jewelry parts can start breaking. If you decide
to wear your favourite necklace or some other jewelry piece while swimming, make sure to wash it well with a mild soap and warm water
and lay it on a towel to dry. Gold jewelry, when in touch with large amounts of chlorine, can completely disintegrate. Even tap water
contains small amounts of chlorine that can be damaging to jewelry, so we recommend that you wear gloves when you wash dishes.
The better the quality of gold, 24 carat gold, the more resistant it is to the negative effects of chlorine. However, most of our
jewelry is made of 14k and 18K gold which makes up to 60% - 80% of a gold alloy. Remaining metals are very
sensitive to the effects of chlorine, so your jewelry can become much darker and, in the worst case, to fall apart.

Take care when wearing jewelry in any recreational activity

as you can easily damage it. In case you rock a ring, you can change its shape and bend its claws that hold the diamond, resulting in the diamond falling out.
Moreover, toxins and acids excreted in your sweat can be also very damaging to gold, diamonds, other precious, semi-precious stones or pearls,
so we recommend you remove your jewelry before any physical activity.

Regular cleaning of gold jewelry

is highly recommended, but you should take precautions. Alcohol can change the colour of precious and semi-precious stones and affect gold.
It is good to clean jewelry with a mild soapy liquid or children’s toothpaste, by light rubbing with a soft brush. Make sure that you rinse
it with warm water. Wet jewelry should be laid on a dry towel. For polishing your jewelry, use a thin piece of muslin or, for best results,
a professional cloth. Napkins and paper towels contain fiber that can scratch gold and remove the rhodium coating that
gives it shine. Extra care is necessary before cleaning soft stones and pearls. Warm, sparkling water is the best option. Pearls
should not be worn if wet, because the thread on which they are strung can stretch. If worn often, have them rethreaded
at least once a year and cleaned with a drop of olive on the cloth. Pearls are at their best when worn.
The more they are worn, the more they improve their lustre by moisture of the skin oils.

Avoid cleaning damaged jewelry, as you may damage it even more. If you notice that your jewelry is broken or damaged,
it is necessary to have it repaired by a professional. Remove and place jewelry in a secure place and not in a drawer
or nightstand where it can be easily scratched. It’s best to store in its original packaging. Pearls are at their
best when exposed to the natural humidity of the air. It is not recommended to store them in a box with
other jewelry. Follow the instructions and your jewelry will retain its radiant beauty forever.
